New incorporation: Call extension with QR

As has been leaked in recent months, Google is adding a new update to the call extension, in this case, showing a QR code right next to the phone number (that is, the call extension itself).

This option will be available for search ads on desktop devices, as the QR code on mobile devices would not make sense. 

The objective is for the user to scan this QR code with their mobile phone, allowing them to call instantly and intuitively. The code will help the user get in touch without typing the number.

Apparently, Google will be in charge of automatically creating the code itself and making it appear automatically next to the normal call extension. It will only appear in those ads where the call resource is added.
