Microsoft Bing: Search engine “Bing” rebrands “Microsoft Bing.”

Microsoft is rebranding its Bing search engine to Microsoft Bing as a bit of a rebranding attempt.

While the vast majority of people are expected to call it yet just Bing, Microsoft revealed its shift toward Microsoft Bing in a blog post yesterday.

Microsoft doesn’t go into particular about why it attached the company’s name to the Bing brand, other than it reflecting “the continued integration of our search experiences across the Microsoft family.”

This rebranding signifies Bing is now managing its updated logo and a Microsoft Bing logo on the search engine’s homepage. It’s not clear if Microsoft will ultimately retire the Bing logo in favor of this more Microsoft-centric logo or use both in the future.

Microsoft has been exploring with Bing logos in recent months, with some of that work developing in the company’s search engine temporarily.

The company has also been opting to combine Microsoft to many of its products in recent years, including the Windows Store turning to the Microsoft Store, and Office 365 moving to Microsoft 365 recently.

Microsoft Edge & Microsoft Teams both utilize the Microsoft branding, while Surface and Xbox have mostly escaped Microsoft’s more general branding efforts so far.

Alongside this rebranding, Microsoft has been continuously upgrading its particular Microsoft Search product, which powers results across Windows, Office, and more.

Microsoft Search also seems inside Bing to present organizations a sort of intranet search for documents and more.

Microsoft Store in Windows 10

Microsoft is rebranding its Windows Store to the Microsoft Store. The Company is rolling out a new Store update to Windows 10 testers on the Release Preview ring that involves the name and logo change.

While the store won’t increase much apart from the name, Windows 10 users will see that the taskbar icon for the store has a shopping bag and Microsoft’s company logo.

Microsoft’s stores sell a variety of third-party hardware and software, and the company’s Surface and Xbox products.
